Tuesday adventuring and cultural walk
This is a short walk, along Taylor's Creek near Taylor's Lakes.
Take the 8:20 am Eltham train (8:31 Watsonia, 8:39 Heidelberg, 8:42 Ivanhoe) to arrive at Flinders St at 9:02am.
Walk through the underpass to Town Hall Station and catch the 9:13 am train to Watergardens on the Sunbury line.
Once at Watergardens station, the walk is past the shopping centre, down to Taylor's Creek linear park to Green Gully Reserve.
The walk is notable for the flood mitigation spillways and lakes, leading from the curated area near the shopping centre down to the more natural grasslands and bush near Green Gully Reserve.
From Green Gully reserve, a 421 bus is caught back to St Albans, where the centre can be explored for its diverse grocery and shopping opportunities.
From St Albans Station, a train is caught back to Library Station, followed by a short walk to Melbourne Central and a train home.
Bring morning tea, lunch. Poles are not generally necessary, but there is a short rise at the end which could be a bit rough.
The reward is a great coffee to be had at the coffee shop near St Albans Station at the end of the walk.
