Grass Trees Walk - Brisbane Ranges

A great 15km walk populated with magnificent grass trees of all shapes and sizes and the area is also well know for its diversity of orchids and wildflowers in spring. There are plenty of ups and downs with one very steep and rocky desent, tracks vary from single file to dirt roads and fire trails, and some wider bush tracks. Brisbane Ranges is a rocky and dry bushland area so good hiking books are required and poles are useful if you like using them.  Bring 2lt water, hat, sunscreen, rain coat or layer for wind protection. You'll need to bring your lunch, moring tea and some high energy trail snacks.

Meeting at road side parking at the intersection of Thompsons Rd & McLeans Highway - 8.50am for a 9am start
