Grampians NP Basecamp Exploratory Recce #4

This is the fourth exploratory/reconnaissance trip to the Grampians NP.

** Please note: car camping equipment required and unsealed roads expected. NO Pack carry**

These exploratory trips will only include day walks, but some of the walks will be rated medium-hard. Expect conditions such as: steep hills; exposed rocky paths; light rock scrambling; cliffs; no shelter; poor visibility; sustained ascent; walking along steep exposed ridge. Please of course consider your ability before booking.

This fourth exploratory trip will include the outlying areas such as over towards the west in Victoria Range Remote & Natural Area, and the Black Range State Park. This would perhaps include: The Chimney Pots; Mt Byron; Rock Escarpment Discovery; Mount Thackery; The Fortress; Djibalara (Asses Ears); Moora Moora Falls; other easier walks scattered remotely. The walks may also include those in other areas of the Grampians NP that we haven't yet been able to walk. At the moment they include: Mt William (highest top in the Grampians); Mt Gar (Mt Difficult); Mt Zero; Hollow Mountain.

More details to follow. Final choice of walks to be decided.

Location of accommodation to be decided. Accommodation may be located in remote National Park campsites, and we may relocate at least once to suit the walks we would like to do. Camping equipment required. Expect road conditions to be unsealed.
